My pyramid cake

This is a picture of the pyramid cake I made for my world studies class. We were studying Egypt so I made this cake for my class to enjoy. But it turned out that you are not allowed to serve homemade treats at school because of alergies. So, I ended up eating it with my friends after school!

The Endless Steppe

I have just finished reading "The Endless Steppe" by Esther Hautzig. This is an awesome book about a rich 10 year old that was exiled to Siberia along with her family for being capitalists during World War 2. It talks about the character's hardship in the land of cold. Another thing, the whole story is the author's life story! Check this book out!

The Titanoboa

I just read this really cool article about the fossil of a snake they found in Columbia. This snake they say was longer than a bus and heavier than a car. They believe that it existed about 60 million years ago. In order for this creature to survive, it would have had to be hot, and I mean HOT! If you pick the hottest place on the world, make it 10 degrees hotter, that's where this creature would live, in that climat! Imagine yourself living in a place like that now a days! Also, if you take the vertiba of a 17 foot long anaconda, this snake's vertibra would be about three times that size! Imagine that! They called this new discovery the Titanoboa.
